Domaine Poulleau Pere & Fils is one of our favorite under-the-radar producers Burgundy. This is a family that, simply put, makes great Burgundy. The Poulleau family has crafted quality Burgundy since the 1960s. Established by husband and wife Michel and Jacqueline, their son Thierry and his wife Florence have since taken the reins. Over 90% of the wine they produce is made from Pinot Noir grown throughout Burgundy across 7 different appellations, with exceptional parcels in Volnay. They’re experts at producing reds that reflect the terroir from the regions they’re grown in.
Now, if you’re not familiar with Les Mondes Rondes, it is a small appellation of Côte de Beaune where magic happens. If you crave a taste of Burgundy's allure, this region is the place to look for, and this 25-year-old vine Pinot won’t disappoint. Aged to perfection, it's ideal for immediate enjoyment or a few years of patient aging. This is your entry to Burgundy's hidden charm!
