This wine is “capable of power, balance, ripeness, and glory” according to Australian wine critic, James Halliday, who compared it to 2014, 2010, and 2005, (three of the most successful vintages the estate has had). Halliday said, “The key to the brilliance of this wine is the texture. The tannins. They are tightly woven, very fine, and serve to support the fruit and the acid. This wine is built on a stable scaffold of tannin that both cushions the experience and defines it.” The “Art Series” represents Leeuwin’s most opulent and age-worthy wines.
