Grand Cru 95pt "Fresh" & "Pure" Bordeaux: 2018 Chateau Olivier Pessac-Leognan Rouge
When it comes to Bordeaux, we sure know what we’re doing. I’m happy to announce today's offer for a 95-point Grand Cru Classified Bordeaux, coming from a spectacular 96-point vintage, with a juicy discount of 30% off. Please welcome the 2018 Chateau Olivier Pessac-Leognan Rouge.
Châteu Olivier is a classified Grand Cru wine of Graves. To give you a better understanding of the importance of this classification, let me tell you that the list is composed of only 16 Châteaux, including the one and only Château Haut-Brion, which wines sell for over $500 a bottle.
This old estate dates back to the Middle Ages and is comprised of more than 130 acres of vineyards. Placed in one of the most magnificent terroirs in all the world, the soils are composed of gravel on a clay and limestone base, which make it the perfect place for both reds and whites wines to thrive. The man in charge of the winemaking is none other than Laurent Lebrun. Laurent has a long and respected trajectory in the wine industry that includes estates in France and Australia.
This elegant Bordeaux blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and just a touch of Petit Verdot has a floral profile, the nose is filled with refined aromas of tobacco leaf and crème de cassis. The palate is seductive with fresh acidity and powerful tannins,
This wine is not only adored by us, but also by some of the most important wine critics in the world. Wine Enthusiast described it as a “firmly structured wine with powerful tannins,” and mentioned a long future in its 95-point review. Robert Parker called it a wine with “great length and purity” in its 93-point review. And James Suckling referred to it as “A beautiful, refined wine.”
This is a once-in-a-lifetime deal. My advice: Run, don't walk! Cause we've only got a couple of cases of this gem, and it will go fast.
