Siro Pacenti is a pioneer in the modernized style of Brunello. They're not the storied estate that Biondi-Santi is; however, they're one of the most decorated estates in Montalcino and deserve to be held in similar regard.

I first tasted the 2014 Pelagrilli two weeks ago alongside the 2017 Pelagrillli and Vecchie Vigne. It was immediately apparent which wine was the most enjoyable, the 2014 Pelagrilli Brunello. The additional time in bottle has really allowed this wine to achieve its full potential.
